Digraph Diconic - optical illusion for two first names

The first step when you place an order is creating a 3D model of the entire Digraphe to ensure the optical illusion is perfect. This model is unique for each combination of names. It is then prepared so that the individual elements can be 3D printed.

Our pieces are crafted from PLA, a biobased plastic material derived from corn starch. The letters are then assembled onto a wooden base. You can choose between two options:

• French Ash Wood: A lighter wood, finely finished by a skilled cabinetmaker.
• Padauk Wood: Worked in our workshop, it offers vibrant red tones that brighten any decor.

A photo holder (a metal rod with a spiral tip for displaying a photo) can be added upon request.

The final product is carefully prepared for shipping, protected with cardboard supports and corn-starch-based packing materials that are compostable and eco-friendly!

What is a digraph?

How is a digraph made?

The first thing we do when you send us an order is a 3D model of the entire digraph, to ensure that the optical illusion is perfect. This model is unique for each combination of first names. It is then prepared so that the different elements can be 3D printed. Our parts are made of PLA, which is a bio-sourced plastic material made from corn starch. The letters are then assembled on a wooden base. Two options are available to you: the lightest wood, French ash, is worked by a cabinetmaker and has a very beautiful level of finish. The padouk base is worked in our workshop and offers red tones that brighten up the decoration. A photo pick (metal rod with a spiral at the end to hold a photo) can be added on request.

The whole thing is then prepared for shipping and protected by cardboard wedges and packing particles, also made from corn starch, and compostable!

Will this really work for our first names?

It is of course possible to use first names or words of different sizes: More info here

It is also possible to use compound first names, the hyphen is in this case "hidden" behind another letter so that the optical illusion remains perfect.

However, we do not have the possibility of using accents or cedillas. First names are therefore written in unaccented capital letters.
